Elizabeth Richards: Iowa City native and art enthusiast. Non-professional artist trying to pursue creating art. Baker by trade and environmentally friendly in practice, she tends to focus her art on utilitarian purposes while also trying to incorporate the inherent beauty of a piece. Simple, yet effective. In this session of ArtOffice, she will be focusing on incorporating the time for art into her daily life and creating habits to sustain this. As well as, molding both her life and clay into ceramic works among other mediums. This artist cannot be held down by monotony. She plans to focus on simple pieces that reflect her love of clean lines, natural hues, and practicality while attempting to find resonance with the viewer. Previous works can be found on friends’ living room mantles and in her mother’s china cupboard.
