I am Mark Vollenweider.

I was born on Wednesday, June the 11th, 1980 in Waterloo, Iowa. I’m a fifth generation Iowan.

I have been drawing all of my life. As a child, I went through manias of drawing certain things: trains & FDR, cityscapes & the sinking Titanic, Apple Bonkers & Blue Meanies, birds & Batman.

I graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelors in Fine Art in 2009. Since 2007, I have made a living driving transit & paratransit in Iowa City, Iowa.
