Stephen Lamb

Stephen Lamb is a composer, arranger, orchestrator, and essayist, based out of Nashville, TN. He divides his time between writing orchestrations for clients in a wide array of styles, engraving music for publishers including Oxford University Press, and working as a freelance copyist.

Memorable clients have included Michael McDonald, Kelly Clarkson, Steven Curtis Chapman, Natalie Grant, and Trey Anastasio. Recent compositions include settings of a Marie Howe poem for the Tokens Radio Show and a Jane Hirshfield poem for the ALIAS Chamber Ensemble, “Like an Attack of Happiness” (for string quartet, woodwind quintet, and piano) premiered by the Nashville Composer Collective, and “Only Questions,” for string quartet with two French horns, composed for Nashville’s ECHO: Chamber Music at the Parthenon series.
